Can it be true? A waterproof iPhone? How many times have you heard about a phone being “liquid damaged” and then fails to work? This would be an amazing piece of electronics!
Well, the fact remains that there is no waterproof version of the iPhone – and iOS 7 won’t save your device from water dunks either, despite the ads you may have seen. Those were a hoax.
The bottom line is that you should not take your iPhone swimming with you, even if you have the greatest ever “Backstroke Workout” playlist. These devices do not play well with H2O. I know most users that end up with liquid damaged phones don’t intentionally dive into the deep end with their devices…rather most liquid damages occur by accident.
